While on Barnabus, your experience will be much more enjoyable if your browser supports, and has turned on, these functions:

1. Cookies:

Cookies enable our server to keep track of who you are. Setting a cookie places a small file on your computer that is sent back to our server every time you request a page on the site. We use this cookie information to keep track of who people are when they login to our site.

If your browser does not support cookies, or you have them turned off, you will NOT be able to participate in a conference on our web site. We need your cookie information to make sure that you are viewing the correct information in the conference environment.

You will still be able to submit journals to counselors, but even here you will have to re-login to every page that is password protected. If your browser supports cookies, and you have them turned on, you need to login to the site only once.

2. Javascript:

There are a number of functions on the site that use Javascript to create and load pop-up windows on the site. These pop-up windows are used to give you some type of information, or enable you to send private messages in the conference area. If your browser does not support Javascript, or you have it turned off, there are a number of screens and functions that you will not have access to on the site.

3. Java:

Barnabus will be using a Java application to conduct our conferences. You will need to have a browser that supports Java to conference on the site. You can test your browser in our demo room.
